Shahmiri graduatit frae Berklee College of Music in Boston.^[1] He went on tae join Andy Madadian tae form the duo, Andy & Kouros. They wur first introducit tae the public bi Siavash Shams, a friend o Madadian. Their first collaborative album, “Khastegary,” wis released in 1985, follaeed bi albums Parvaz (1988), Balla! an Goodbye (1991). They split in 1992, baith tae pursue their awn solo careers.

Shahmiri haes syne released 5 albums includin “Nassleman,” an the recently released album “Afsaneh.”

In 2002 Papillon Productions producit an Andy & Kouros reunion concert, the duo returned thegither on stage for the first time syne their split 10 years prior, tae perform for a sauld-oot audience in San Jose, Californie. The duo appeared in a 2007 remak o their big hit “Niloufar” released bi Farez featurin Andy & Kouros. In 2009, they engagit in a sauld-oot internaitional tour thegither in the Iranian diaspora (North Americae, Europe, Australie) an aw.
